PHX PHRIENDS: “Time in Fiction,” 9-11:30 am, GCC, LA 141 — Gary Lawrence Presenting

Saturday morning workshop led by Gary Lawrence:

Date: Saturday October 19th 2013
Time: 9:00-11:30
LA 141

Topic: How To Manage Time In Writing

Whether it’s fiction or non-fiction, poetry, short stories or novels, all writing has to contend with the experience of time passing.  Using an Ernest Hemingway short story as an example of craft, this workshop explores writing techniques used to manage time in fiction.   Come learn and practice how to illustrate and manipulate time for better results and more impact in your writing, whatever you write.

As always, this workshop is free and open to the public.  Free refreshments.

PS.  Thanks too to David Miller, Shawnte Orion, and Creative Writing at GCC for sponsoring a reading I participated in October 16 as part of its continuing series Free Association Open Mic Poetry and Prose.
